English Classes

In 2012 we asked families in the basurero what we could do to help their families. They asked if we could teach their children English. So, we started weekly Bible and English classes with 25 children in two different communities. We have continued this program, as it continues to change and evolve. We have always had a mixture of American and Guatemalan volunteers to help teach. The children in our program are 7-18 years old. We teach English because we believe that by learning English we can give these children a hope of a brighter future. Every week we provide a Bible lesson, English lessons, and a healthy snack for the children.
