March 2022 Newsletter

Hello Family and Friends,

Happy Spring! We are thrilled to share all the great news of things that happened in the ministry in Guatemala in March!

Museums

In March, the students visited a railroad museum, a postal museum, and a public library. The students practiced taking public transportation to visit these museums. They found their visit informative.

Transportation Museum

Students at the Transportation Museum asking many questions.  The students will be getting library cards for the ONE public library in Guatemala City!

Raising Funds

Our students have been taking special classes to learn about missions work, and seven of them will go on their own mission trip in a city about 6 hours from the city, on the Caribbean sea.  While they are there, they will be doing a Vacation Bible School with students in the mornings.  In the afternoons, they will be taking food to families and doing prayer visits with them.  These students have been active earning money for their mission trip.  They created a bazaar and sold donated items.  They made signs and set it all up on their own.

Art Sale

They also sent some of their artwork back to the states, and their art teacher was able to do two online art auctions.  These original pieces of art raised the bulk of the necessary money for their mission trip.

The GREAT news is that with funds from these two events, and a few donations, the students were able to raise ALL the funds needed to send all seven students, and two chaperones on this trip which will take place April 9-13.

The children at the churches that we shared with in January, Wingard Memorial Lutheran Church and Laurel Hill Lutheran Church are planning to Zoom with the 20 younger students that are in our Bible and English classes on Tuesday afternoons. They are VERY excited about the opportunity to “meet” the kids in Guatemala. They will share a pizza party together, via technology! It is AMAZING seeing God’s hand at work!

God continues to bless the ministry in Guatemala. Sending us unexpected donations, We are EXCITED to be planning our trip to Guatemala in June. We are ordering Vacation Bible School supplies, and planning on taking the students on a special trip, to be determined, as a reward for their good grades with these donations!

May God continue to bless you! Remember that you can always check out the Ministry by visiting us at

Dios te Bendiga,
