July 2021 Newsletter

Hello *|FNAME|*,
We returned a few weeks ago from being in Guatemala for the month. It was a VERY eventful, and busy time. We had three ladies come down the first week. One from Free Point Church, one from Relentless church, and one lady that was a Spanish teacher. They helped the students in our virtual school every day. In the afternoons, we held a Vacation Bible School for all 30 of the students in our ministry. We were also able to take the students to a water park for a day to reward them for their good grades in school.

Water Park with the kids

We took our two 20-year-old volunteers for our school, and the Spanish teacher to the beach for a few days. It was great to be able to thank the volunteers with this trip!

We were blessed to be able to build this wall, and a new storage cabinet, and to put on some new roofing in the building that we use for our virtual school. For a week, the Spanish teacher from Savannah Christian Preparatory School, where Richard works, came to Guatemala. She helped the students with school, and helped us paint the new wall that we had built this summer.

Shane on a Prayer Visit
Karla, Kari and Jenna on a Prayer Visit
With both groups we were able to do prayer visits where we go into the homes of the children and get to pray with them about their specific needs, We are also able to bless the families with a few bags of food. This has ALWAYS been one of our favorite parts of our ministry!
The tutor with her students
We were also able to hire a tutor to help our younger students, that do not attend our school. They are just given packets and told to teach themselves. Without help at home, they are falling farther behind. We pray that with the help of the tutor, that they will be able to raise their grades. And will not just loose another year of school.

We are praying that if it’s God’s will. We will be able to open our virtual school up to ALL of the students in our ministry next year. This will mean more sponsors, more computers, and hiring a tutor to be at the school full time to help the younger children with their assignments. So, LOTS of things would need to fall into place. But we know that our God is a God of miracles, and if it is His will, that it will happen.

Thanks so much for your prayers and continued support of our ministry.
