Dear Friends and Family,
Happy June! We have survived this crazy school. We hope your summer is wonderful! We are going to have a fantastic, exciting summer planned:
Just wanted to let you all know that tomorrow, June 5th Richard and Melissa fly to Guatemala. On Monday, June 7th we will have a small team of 3 ladies come to spend the week with us. Jenna came to Guatemala with us 3 years ago, and was on the first team we brought. Karla is a high school teacher, and Kari is a High School Spanish teacher. We will be doing a VBS with the kids, helping the kids with their virtual school, taking the kids to a water park to reward their good grades. We will be visiting the kid’s families at their home during our prayer visits!
We are SO excited to be able to go back to Guatemala this Summer! A week after these ladies leave, the Spanish teacher from the school where Richard works, Savannah Christian Prep. School will come to Guatemala. During her visit, we will help at our school, and do a one-day VBS in another part of Guatemala.
During our time in Guatemala, we will be building a new wall, and install a metal security door at the location where we do our virtual school. We are praying that next Summer we will be able to bring a group of students from Richard’s school for a visit.
We ask for your prayers while we are in Guatemala. Guatemala does not have the COVID vaccines available to them like we do here in the States. So, we are praying for safety for all who will visit us to help with our ministry!

We are thrilled to be able to return to Guatemala this summer. We were upset that it was not possible to go last summer. We will be opening up our learning center, and hiring a tutor for the children in our program that are not a part of our virtual school. And we are praying to be able to expand the school next year, to be able to include more children from our ministry into the school.
